Re-enactors taking part at the event

 

Dawn of Chivalry is based in the north east of England and has members from County Durham, Tyne and Wear, and Teesside. The group takes pride on a high level of historical accuracy.

 

Historia Normannis has over 600 members throughout Britain, and brings history to life in a historically accurate, engaging and exciting way. The group portrays history intimately – allowing the public to see, feel and hear first-hand aspects of the lives and deaths of medieval people.

 

Vanguard is a re-enactment group based in the north-east of England, mainly in Hartlepool. The group focuses on the battles and combat of the 13th century - specifically at the turn of the century during the 1290's.

 

Knights of Monymusk is a historical re-enactment and living history group based in the Dundee/Angus area of Scotland.

 

Lady Cristobel  is a skilled and experienced reader of tarot cards, based in East Lothian. She reads for individuals, groups and corporate clients.

 

Robert Howat (King Edward I) has experience in various acting genres: stage, film, adverts  and voice-overs. He has also written, directed and produced a number of short films.

 

Gaita is Scotland's specialist medieval music ensemble dedicated to performing their music in a medieval context. The core of their repertoire is the secular and courtly music of Mediaeval Europe: particularly from Scotland, France, Spain and Italy.

 

Talitha MacKenzie is best known as a Gaelic singer and World Music Recording Artist (with a No.1 album, "Mouth Music"). She has been based in Edinburgh since 1987 and lectures in Historical Dance and Early Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Talitha is archivist for the Historical Dance Society and directs the historical dance & music ensemble, Autrefois. She is also co-founder of the Edinburgh Quadrille Society.

 

The NIghtingale and The Lark are a mediaeval folk duo based in the North East of England. Better known as Siarlot and Cerys, the two met thanks to their interest in Living History.
